the king's contest

one day in the land of rushum, there was an aging king who was thinking about who will succeed him. the king then went to pray at the temple to ask jeffery what he should do about his succession. jeffery then told the king take one rounded wood and tell your kids to plant  the seeds and whoever is honest with you will be not only your seccessor but a king who will be a greater king than you.

the king took four round pieces of wood and summoned his kids abel, alex, sarah, and connie to him. i have a contest for you. take these seeds and plant them and whoever's flower was the prettiest will be the next monarch of rushum. the kids were given the seeds and was told that they have one year. abel who was the best gardener out of all of his siblings and planted the seed right away. six months later the seed did not sprout and abel got angry. jeffery i pray to you to make the seed sprout a beautiful flower. jeffery answered him and told him to not panic and to keep watering the seed. five months later abel ask jeffery to make the seed sprout for the contest is tomorrow. jeffery answered present your pot to the king and your seed will impress him. the night turned to morning and the contest was held. connie grew a beautiful rose. alex grew a bunch of black eyed susans. sarah grew a large sunflower. meanwhile abel's pot was empty. the king entered the room and looked around. the king announced that the seeds were not real and that abel will be the next king of rushum. abel was grateful and lead a prayer to jeffery.

one year later the king had died and abel ascended the throne and was a greater king than the all the kings before him.

nathan

a long time ago in the land of nihem there was an evil king who enslaved much of his population. the slaves were miserable. they called out to jeffery and he sent his prophet nathan to the land of nihem to confront the evil king. so you're the prophet nathan i have heard of. you don't scare me. said the king. you may not be afraid of me but jeffery has revealed the one thing you fear above all things. nathan told the king. the king then challenged nathan to bring him that fear. nathan then raised his hand and in entered a older woman. the king trembled in fear. mother? the king said with fear in his voice. i am disgusted by how you are treating the people you foul creature. his mother told him. mother i was just ruling the kingdom. your father did not rule the kingdom like that nor did any other king before you rule the kingdom like this. the king tried to speak more but his mother was not having it. go to your room right now mister and let your younger brother rule the kingdom. but mom? now mister. the king was sent to his room and forced to abdicate to his younger brother who freed his population from slavery. nathan then lead the king and the kingdom into prayer thanking jeffery.
